Pastor Douglas Wilson of Christ Church, Moscow, relies heavily upon The Devil’s Dictionary by Ambrose Beirce for many of his thoughts (a Google search of Gog brings up 5 pages), and he has plagiarized from it at least once. Last night Katie Botkin turned the blade on Mr. Wilson, writing a few entries for Devil’s Dictionary: CREC Edition, such as,
“Wikipedia: discouraged as a source for Logos papers, but an excellent place to copy and paste from without citation if you’re writing textbooks.” (Devil’s Dictionary: CREC Edition)
Strangely, she doesn’t define the word “devil.” Perhaps it’s assumed.
Brilliant and funny. Nobody can dismantle CRECdom like Katie.
Brilliant and funny indeed. And thus by way of stark contrast making Doug’s allegedly brilliant and funny drivel look all the more pathetic.
