“detestable and disobedient and worthless”

“To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled. They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good deed.” Titus 1:15–16

“Is it right?”

On some positions cowardice asks the question, Is it safe? Expediency asks the question, Is it politic? Vanity asks the question, Is it popular? But conscience asks the question, Is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular; but he must take it because conscience tells him it is right.

“I pledge to conduct myself in such a way that no one could ever question my loyalty to the peace and purity of Christ Church.”

Commitment to Loyalty
I pledge to conduct myself in such a way that no one could ever question my loyalty to the peace and purity of Christ Church. This includes refusing to speak to any unauthorized person about grievances I might have, and includes refusing to hear any such criticisms as well. If commitment to this standard in any way compromises my conscience, then I understand that my resignation will be accepted, without notice, and without prejudice.Douglas Wilson

“computers have made it easier to get into all kinds of sin, including the sin of plagiarism, which is intellectual theft”

With regard to the eighth command, it would be nice to say that this is a Christian college, and that we have consequently never had any problem whatever with stolen work. When you have a lot of work to turn in, and the pressure is high, it is easy to start making excuses to yourself, or to shove the noisy part of your conscience into a closet. And computers have made it easier to get into all kinds of sin, including the sin of plagiarism, which is intellectual theft.
