This is a well-written ad hominem argument that reads like Doug Wilson’s greatest hits. Point of correction: Logos is not “owned and operated by Christ Church.” Douglas Wilson allows non-kirkers on Logos’ board of directors so that he can claim ecumenicalism on his résumé. But a closer look at this board shows that he only permits a minority of non-kirkers to serve, and they must be spineless — just like the Kirk elders. If you’re on the Logos board, you are part of the problem. Don’t be an idiot: You do not make a difference and you will never make a difference. You are a hood ornament, a decoration only — but a decoration that is attached to the thing. Therefore, as Ms. Cooper concludes, you need to be stopped.

Consider history of Logos, Christ Church

Regarding Logos School’s request to use water from our shrinking aqueducts to water a sports field for their new facility rather than investing in an artificial surface that does not require water: I can see no reason for the community to acquiesce to this request. Buy some Astroturf.

Let us remember, Moscow, that Logos is owned and operated by Christ Church. This group began efforts years ago to turn Moscow into a conservative evangelical stronghold. Unfortunately, like a malignant cancer, they seem to be succeeding, at least in acquiring large amounts of property while giving nothing back to the community. And now they want the water.

Many may recall that the leadership of this organization is virulently misogynistic, espousing a philosophy that insists women be treated as property and denied a voice in the home, the church and society. Many may recall the two sex offenders Doug Wilson defended so enthusiastically and who are still church members.

The leadership blames women for the abuse they suffer from their husbands. The women “aren’t submissive enough.”

Of women who choose autonomy, he wrote, “But women who genuinely insist on ‘no masculine protection’ are really women who tacitly agree on the propriety of rape.”

Of slavery, Doug Wilson, who calls himself a “paleo-confederate,” wrote, “There has never been a multi-racial society that has existed with such mutual intimacy and harmony in the history of the world.”

Like the Catholic Church, this local group hides its filthy secrets behind scrubbed faces, fake smiles and empty platitudes. But sometimes the secrets ooze out, like sewage from a leaky pipe. Unfortunately, arable land that could be used to grow food will now be growing more generations of deeply misogynistic, religious zealots and no one seems to be willing to stop them.
