Update to the Sitler Archive

We cleaned up the Steven Sitler archive by converting the text in the images into HTML to make the site completely searchable, and we gave it some much-needed organization by creating the following subcategories to the Court Records category:

We added a few new records as well, most notably Steven Sitler’s mugshot from his arrest in December 2014 for failing a polygraph.

Steven Sitler Mugshot 2014We also added a letter to the editor by Nancy Wilson, wife of Doug Wilson, Pastor of Christ Church, Moscow. The letter is titled No ogres or bogeymen at church and it’s interesting both for its content and its timing. In its content Mrs. Wilson accuses her unnamed “adversaries” of “flat-out” lying, though she offers no evidence to support this accusation. As for the timing, the Daily News published Mrs. Wilson’s letter on April 29, 2006, which was one week after Steven Sitler’s criminal defense attorney argued that his client was not a “high risk” to reoffend (Mr. Wullenwaber dropped this argument last year, after his client admitted he had deviant sexual fantasies for his child). And the News published Mrs. Wilson’s letter one week before Judge Stegner retained jurisdiction for Steven Sitler. That is, one week before Judge Stegner ordered Steven Sitler to live the remainder of his life in Latah County (or else prison, when they finally catch him violating his probation).

Further, Mrs. Wilson wrote her letter at the time that Jamin Wight’s attorney was plea bargaining with the State. Mr. Wight originally pled guilty to one count of Sexual Abuse of a Child (March 8, 2006), but the judge tossed that plea in favor of one count of Injury to a Child (May 12, 2006).

No, Christ Church had no mythological creatures such as ogres or bogeymen — just a couple of child molesters who eluded accountability for their crimes due in large part to Nancy Wilson’s husband.

Finally, we added an op-ed by Ed Iverson titled Can Larry Craig no longer even blush? At the time he wrote it, Ed Iverson was an elder of Christ Church and the head librarian at New St. Andrews College (NSA). Currently, he pastors a church for the Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches (CREC). Ed Iverson is the man who arranged the blind date between Steven Sitler and Katie Travis (now Katie Sitler), hoping they would marry, which they did. Now their home is a complete shipwreck. I don’t know if Larry Craig can blush and I really don’t care. But I’m pretty sure that Ed Iverson can’t blush. And I’m pretty sure he doesn’t care either.

  1. Thank you for taking the time to rearrange the documents. Although I am familiar with the material the amount available on this site made it possible to lose track of some of the items. The new format will make it more accessible.
The comment box provides a forum for readers (thank you again) however, the importance and gravitas of the site rests of the primary documentation available. This site is unique in that area and paints an in depth profile of a fixated pedophile who plays his church friends and work/student colleagues like simple-minded puppets (charm and pseudo-sincerity are always to be found in the tool belt of a “successful” pedophile). However, it is fair to suggest that he doesn’t fool his pastor (mega manipulators recognize each other a mile away) – and, given the stakes, that is to the ever lasting shame of Doug Wilson.
