After I knew about Steven Sitler when I saw the pre-censored cover where the statue of a standing nude young girl could be seen with here legs spread and genitals clearly showing I sometimes disgustedly thought of the kirk’s pet child molester perversely enjoying it. Does anyone know when the change to the cover was made? It was first published all the way back in 1995 and I bought a copy in I think 2000. I always wondered why in the world that particular painting (?) was chosen as the cover image. What does it have to do with the content of the book? And even if there is a logical connection between the cover and the content why that image chosen over all the other possibilities? And years later Doug used Wesley’s nudity in an obscure video made in the course of his academic pursuits to attack Natalie.

    1. Wilson did a comprehensive rebrand within the last few years (not sure of the date), perhaps when he sold Canon to Nate. They revised and updated many of their book covers. On some of them, such as Future Men and Reforming Marriage, they placed a background for the title on top of the cover art. I always figured that they mistook the image on Reforming Marriage as a medieval couple to placate Wilson’s obsession with all things Middle Ages. The painting, however, is Renaissance. And your point about nudity is killer.
