“From the very beginning the Christian faith has had to deal with imposters who gain control of the governmental mechanisms of the church”

From the very beginning the Christian faith has had to deal with imposters who gain control of the governmental mechanisms of the church, doing so in order to undermine the entire point of the Church. Think, for example, of Diotrephes, who would put out of the church anybody who had even voted in favor of receiving emissaries of the apostles (3 John 9–10). That man had control of the perks of preeminence, he had control of the minutes and file cabinets, he had control of the office keys. The only thing He didn’t have was control of the Spirit. The Spirit blows where He wills.

  1. The irony of this is almost unbelievable – if Doug or the toadies read this they need to take a good long look in the mirror. “That man had control of the perks of preeminence, he had control of the minutes and file cabinets, he had control of the office keys. The only thing He didn’t have was control of the Spirit. The Spirit blows where He wills.” And with divine intervention it is my hope that Spirit will blow Doug flat on his tush where he can see the world from a different perspective.

  2. If I had a dollar for all the ironic words Wilson has written or spoken that preach against doing the very things he does on a daily basis, or his warnings to steer clear of people who are just like Doug Wilson, I’d have more money than Donald Trump.
