The police record in the Jamin Wight “injury to a child” case contains statements to the police by both of Natalie Greenfield’s parents and Natalie has given us permission to post them in the Jamin Wight Archive.
The spirit of accusation has possessed Pastor Doug Wilson of Christ Church, Moscow, to make unkind statements about Natalie’s parents in his public representations about them. He told Officer Green, “I don’t believe that I have ever seen such a level of parental foolishness as what the Greenfields did in this.” And he told Rod Dreher, “But the father of the victim had approved an extraordinarily foolish arrangement that left his daughter vulnerable.”
Judge for yourself. Please read Gary & Patricia Greenfield’s statements to the police. Gary’s statement is here; Pat’s statement is here.
And JW went on to get married anyway. Is there *any* sin which would disqualify a young man in the CREC from marriage? Maybe if he was actively gay/trans/queer?
“Is there *any* sin which would disqualify a young man in the CREC from marriage?”
Catching Doug Wilson in a lie is an instant DQ and grounds for excommunication.
Just noticed the following, in the Patricia Greenfield statement. Sounds eerily familiar…
“He *always* has to be right, and argues tirelessly to convince others of this. He would put spins on past events and convince others his way was the way it had truly occured, even though it wasn’t.”
And, like Doug, as part of the spinning he’s willing to brazenly contradict what he has said before on record.
(Also from Patricia Greenfield’s statement) “As an example of his recent manipulating of the truth to his friends, in the last month one of his closest buddies, presently in law school, phoned and asked me if it was true what Jamin had just told him: that Jamin had NO idea of Natalie’s age when he was engaged in sexual activities with her!! As you can see by reading Jamin’s letter of confession, this is an outright lie but it does make him look better than the truth would!”
That silly Mrs G–
Everyone knows Wight moved in with them in order to conduct parent-approved secret courtship, not to work on the house. And everyone knows courtship protects girls from sexual predation. Therefore it is logically proven that Wight cannot have been a sexual predator!
