I continue to feel deep compassion for Natalie for all the horrible things she went through. It is my belief that Doug Wilson will never “get it”. He’s too busy nattering on about women on the cover of whatever scandal rag at the checkout line at the grocery store. I continue to feel admiration for Natalie’s deep courage and stunning honesty. Coming out with these difficult details helps us know the depth of Doug Wilson’s indifference to the suffering of the victims at the hands of his coddled perpetrators.
Doug Wilson’s nattering on about women on the cover of whatever scandal rag is at the checkout helps us understand his willful inability to see others (especially women) as simply and fully human and not “day-old donuts” or whatever insulting and degrading expressions he comes up with.
