In which Kevin DeYoung hopes Wilson & Booth respond to the evidence

He updated his book review of A Justice Primer:

Douglas Wilson and Randy Booth, A Justice Primer (Canon Press, 2015). . . [UPDATE: It seems that portions of the book were plagiarized, which, while not changing the nature of the content, cannot help but affect one’s opinion of the book. I hope Wilson and Booth will respond to the evidence presented in the link above.]

He’s correct to say that it does not change the nature of the content, but he’s wrong to believe that it does not deserve a rethink of his review. They bamboozled him with stolen words. Perhaps he should consider where else they fooled him. For example, if plagiarism disqualifies them from the ministry (so says Mr. Wilson), then what makes Messieurs Wilson & Booth believe they’re qualified to address the subject of justice?

  1. This is a baby step for Mr. DeYoung but it’s a start. He shouldn’t get too much praise for it as he’s a grown man and needs to start running from these types who cover up sin, but like I said, it’s a start. Good on him for at least this much. But absolutely agreed with article. Well said.

    1. And it’s (still) a sad day when academia maintains higher standards with actual and more serious consequences than members of The Gospel Coalition do.

  2. I pleaded with Kevin by email and on Twitter to reconsider his review. He ignored me entirely.

But see, THIS could affect his reputation.

  3. And once again we have the ridiculous Reformed party line wherein we hear the statement “Oh yes it certainly may have been [x] (plagiarized/misinformed/based on lies/corrupt), but THE MESSAGE IS STILL CORRECT GAKJDBGRDM,” because basically these people don’t give a damn how their perverted message gets out there as long as they get to tell other people what to do. Cretins.
