“A Theology of Slut Walks”

If somebody kidnapped and raped the most outrageous organizer of the worst slut pride event ever, I would want to see that rapist punished to the fullest extent of the law. Douglas Wilson

  1. But not the rapist of a 13-year old girl.

Or the serial rapist and molester of children.

What a hypocrite Doug Wilson is.

  2. But he does not say that she wouldn’t have deserved it. And I think that omission is important and deliberate.

    1. The words “punished to the fullest extent of the law” are pure baloney. He regularly asserts draconian positions in public but in private he regularly helps rapists plead down their charge from rape, to reduce the sentence and ensure their quick reentry into society where they may continue to prey.

  3. Presumably, the imagined rapist he’s speaking of is not a student of his or a member of his congregation. He will only advocate for mercy and levity on their behalf.

Trying to find it, but I recall him recounting being the head juror in a trial case and that he and the jury found the defendant guilty and recommended the death penalty, which the judge did not accept. I do not know of what crime they found the defendant guilty of but it’d be hard to surpass the crimes he’s defended his pupils of while advocating for measured and limited punishment.

    1. Not sure if this is the same case, but Jim Wilson brags about hijacking a Moscow jury in a murder case. God save us from Wilsonian justice.
