Moscow-Pullman Daily News Letter to the Editor

The following letter to the editor follows up this one. I cannot vouch for the truthfulness of this account but I can say that the modus operandi described here is textbook Kirk: Say one thing, do another — and when called to account, lie, mislead, obfuscate. Repeat as necessary. We have seen this pattern in Doug Wilson’s handling of the two sex-abuse cases. We saw this pattern with the plagiarism. And we will see this pattern emerge in every other scandal that marks Doug Wilson.

Moscow-Pullman Daily News, Letters to the Editor, October 21, 2016Logos View Park?

I am writing this letter to the editor on behalf of all the “new neighbors” that Logos School will have upon building their new campus next to Mountain View Park. When the school invited us to an open house to explain their plans to build in the field behind our homes, they assured everyone they wanted to be “good neighbors.” We as “good new neighbors” actually wish Logos and their students well.

We want to make a suggestion to the layout of their campus. We want to ask them to revise their present plan and consider building the track next to Mountain View Park, instead of at the far eastern end of the property. This repositioning would put the track behind our homes, make a better transition from the park and walking trails to their campus, and, most importantly, have a smaller impact on the flood plain.

I spoke with the superintendent of Logos and asked if this redesign could happen. He told me that the neighbors objected to the track being next to the park due to the lighting.

I went house to house asking the property owners if Logos had contacted them about this matter. None had been contacted. I then asked each of them if they would mind if the track were to be built directly behind our homes (with lighting used during evening meets). No one objected.

I am writing this letter, not only for all of us who live next to Mountain View Park, but also for all the people who enjoy the park, to respectfully ask that Logos School put the track next to the park and the main buildings at the far eastern end of the property.

Otherwise, it will no longer be Mountain View Park but Logos View Park.
